The dingtone.me website (the Website or Dingtone Website) and Dingtone mobile applications (the Software or Dingtone Software) are owned and operated by Dingtone, Inc.("Dingtone", "us" or "we"). It is Dingtone's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our websites and Dingtone Software.
Like most website operators, Dingtone collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor requests. Dingtone's purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Dingtone's visitors use its website. From time to time, Dingtone may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.
Dingtone also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses and email addresses for users who post feedback or report an issue on the Website.
When you install Dingtone Software on your mobile device, you are required to provide a mobile phone number to receive access code via SMS. The phone number will be saved in Dingtone servers. The phone number is also used to discover other Dingtone users who have your phone number in their address book.
You need to permit Dingtone to access your address book in the mobile device. A simplified copy of the address book with information of name, phone number, ringtone of each contact will be stored in Dingtone servers. The phone numbers of eact contact are encrypted by an irreversible way. The phone numbers and name of your contacts are used to build your Dingtone friend list.
Dingtone also collects information such as the mobile device ID, device name, OS type and version, and IP address to make certain Dingtone functions work.
Dingtone does not disclose, release your phone number, contacts information, or device information to any third parties.
Certain Dingtone features require access to the location information for your mobile phone. Some features, such as "Find Nearby Friends" also store your location information in our servers, and share your location information with other Dingtone users. If you are concerned about the privacy of your location information, we recommend you do not use those features.
When you use Dingtone to send a multimedia message (such as sharing a picture, or sharing a video clip), the multimedia content will be cached in Dingtone servers for increased performance. The cached content will be removed after a certain period of months, Dingtone does not provide any means for you to delete the cached content manually.
Certain visitors to Dingtone's websites, or Dingtone Software users choose to interact with Dingtone in ways that require Dingtone to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that Dingtone gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. Dingtone collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the user's interaction with Dingtone. Dingtone does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. Visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.

If Dingtone, or substantially all of its assets were acquired, or in the unlikely event that Dingtone goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that would be transferred or acquired by a third party.
