The Dingtone keypad asks you to select a country code as a
separate piece of information so please DO NOT enter the country
code when dialing your phone number.
Similarly, DO NOT enter an international dialing prefix with the
phone number. For example, many of our US users add 011 to the
phone number. That is not correct.
Dingtone does not charge any roaming fees. The calling rates
stay the same no matter where you are.
Dingtone phone numbers can receive phone calls from anyone - no
matter where they (or you) are. For example, if you have a US
Dingtone phone number and a friend or family member in the US
dials that number, the conversation will be charged as a
domestic call even if you are overseas at the time.
With normal cell phone service, when traveling overseas, you
have to turn on international roaming if you still want to
receive calls. As you'd probably expect, international roaming
is very expensive.
With our service however, you can forward your calls to Dingtone
and avoid the roaming fees altogether. Plus, you don't have to
remember to turn on/off international roaming.
Here are the instructions to set up call forwarding on your cell
phone:
Recording phone calls in Dingtone is easy: simply tap the
"Record" button on the call panel to start the process.
Call recording is free. However, if you need full access to the
recordings, each recording costs 15 credits.
Note: Please obey all federal and state laws when recording
calls.
